Many people first consider living in Palmdale West because of its proximity to Los Angeles and all the events and interesting places to go in the big city. However, Palmdale has its own thriving arts culture, so there’s no need for Palmdale West property owners to go anywhere for live performances. Palmdale Playhouse has a full schedule of plays and concerts. It’s also the location for local artists to exhibit their work. Kids and adults interested in the arts can take fine arts workshops and acting workshops. Kids who love drama can attend the summer theater camp, which culminates in a performance for family and friends. Professional performers can apply to the Sounds of the City program, which opens the resources of the playhouse to artists.
