Bring Fido to Bark in the Park

Enjoy some time away from your Lancaster real estate with your canine companion and attend Lancaster Bark at the Park. This event will take place at Sgt. Steve Owen Memorial Park on Saturday, October 1st, 2022  from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Polite, leashed dogs are welcome who are current on all necessary vaccinations. Admission is free and there will be much to do and see. A raffle will be available all day to benefit the Los Angeles County Animal Shelters in the Antelope Valley. Purchase one for $1, six for $5, or 13 for $10. Winning numbers will be drawn at 4:30 on the Good Dog Stage. You do not need to be present to win. 

Other events include Blessing of the Dogs at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., Man’s Best Friend Contests, Sundance Stunt Dogs, live music, and special guest Shorty Rossi. There will also be an opportunity to take your dog through a modified agility course. An experienced trainer will guide your dog through the course. If your dog is good at finding treasures at your Lancaster real estate and on walks, bring them to Finders Keepers. You can test your pup’s searching skills with hidden treasures. If your dog likes to play, try out more games in the canine carnival. Additional games include Duck Hunt, Race the Wind, Chase Yer Tail, Pawcasso, Cat-A-Pult, and Paw Prints in Stone. 

In addition to all this, there will be lectures and demonstrations, vendors, community groups, food vendors, and dog rescues. There will be food for humans and also dogs! Stop into Frosty Paws for a cool treat for your pup. Doggie snow cones will be available in beef and chicken flavors.
